This course is suitable for students aged 14 and over. It is ideal for anyone who would like to launch a career in counselling.

By the end of the course, students will understand counselling theories, key elements of the main theoretical approaches and will develop self-understanding and reflect on their own values and beliefs.

  • The key aspects of an ethical framework

  • The ability to reflect on your personal qualities and skills

Candidates will require the following equipment for distance learning:

• PC or laptop with a microphone and speakers (a webcam is preferred but not essential)
• Access to the internet and web browser application (e.g. Google Chrome)
• An email account for file sharing
