Learning outcomes
Students will learn about dementia awareness and how to apply a person-centred approach to the care and support of an individual with the disease. They will also understand factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia, their behaviour and how to administer their medicines. By the end of the course, they will also understand equality, diversity and inclusion in care and understand the benefits of engaging in activities in social care.
