This qualification will develop understanding of bullying, including how to recognise that bullying is taking place and how to take action to stop it. The course covers the definitions of bullying and cyber bullying, legislation that relates to bullying, the effects of bullying on children and young people and how to act when bullying is identified.

This course is suitable for candidates aged 14 and over. 

Learning outcomes

Following this course, candidates will understand the principles of bullying and government guidance on bullying, how to recognise bullying in children and young people and the action to be taken when a child or young person is being bullied.

Course requirements

Delegates will require the following equipment for distance learning:

  • PC or laptop with a microphone and speakers (webcam is preferred but not essential).
  • Access to the internet and web browser application (e.g. Google Chrome).
  • An email account for file sharing.
