For those who wish to expand their fundamental skills and master the art of managing multiple projects and resources.

Those who can create simple project plans but need greater control over tasks and who work with multiple projects simultaneously.
By the end of the course, you will be able to import project data from other plans and other source files, constrain tasks with dates and deadlines and monitor multiple projects in a single master plan. You will also be able to manage resource allocations, level over-allocated resources and review progress using baselines.

- Scheduling with dates

Master and Sub Projects:
- Creating a master plan
- Inserting and deleting sub-projects

Managing Multiple Resource Assignments:
- Assigning additional resources to tasks
- Part time resource assignments
- Viewing resource, and assignment details
- Task types and effort driven scheduling
- Using resource views to identify over allocations resolve conflicts
- Resource levelling
Managing Baselines and Comparing Projects:
- Creating a project baseline
- Comparing plans with a baseline
- Adding tasks to a baseline
- Clearing baseline data
- Working with multiple baselines
Gantt Chart Formatting:
- Formatting text and text styles
- Applying and removing gridlines
- Formatting bars and creating bar styles
- Formatting working times, non-working times and the timescale
Project Reporting:
- Updating file properties
- Viewing and printing reports
- Creating visual reports
This course can be delivered remotely or in a classroom environment, to suit your requirements.
Attendees should be able to create simple project plans, add, edit and remove tasks and create task dependency links. They should also be able to add resource names to a project plan and assign resources to tasks.
Attendees must have the following equipment to attend this training remotely:
- PC or laptop with a microphone and speakers (webcam is preferred but not essential)
- Access to the internet and web browser application (e.g. Google Chrome)
- Microsoft Excel installed on the PC or laptop
- An email account for file sharing
- A second screen is ideal but not essential
